Visiting Japan 2026 - MRJ IBS International Business Summit

Visiting Japan – 2026
Strengthening International Partnerships and Exploring New Opportunities
ALUCON recently had the opportunity to visit Japan and participate in the MRJ IBS International Business Summit, held on August 31 and September 1, 2026, at The Westin Hotel in Tokyo.
The summit, held under the theme "Global Connections to a Circular Future," brought together international representatives from the aluminium recycling and trading industry. It provided a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge, discussing market developments, and gaining insights into the future of global aluminium supply and demand.
One of the key topics addressed during the conference was the evolving trade relationship between Japan and India in secondary aluminium. The presentations highlighted important developments in the international aluminium recycling market and the growing significance of sustainable and circular supply chains.
For ALUCON, attending this event was an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing relationships with customers and business partners while developing new international connections. Japan remains an important market for our company, and direct engagement with industry professionals allows us to better understand market needs and identify future opportunities for cooperation.
Beyond the conference, the visit also offered the opportunity to experience Japan's unique culture, history, and hospitality.
We would like to thank the organisers, partners, and all those who welcomed us during our visit for making this trip a valuable and memorable experience.
ALUCON looks forward to continuing to build strong international partnerships and contributing to a more connected and sustainable future for the aluminium industry.
